Hmmm, I would say the story in New Orleans, even though the catastrophy in London is quite as bad.

They're so different, I mean if you think about it New Orelans lost probably well over a thousand people and entire neighbourhoods were laid to waste, the surrounding waterways polluted so much that the local shrimp and fishing industry may be scared for decades and tens of thousands of people, as many as 200000 in fact hve to be evacuated for months. By contrast only 57 eople died in the London bomb attacks and the damage to infrastructure was minimal by comparison. However, and that's an important one, I think they are impossible to compare, in some ways nature is something we have no control over, why New Orelans was built where it is and why they did nothing to prepare for this disaster is beyond me but in a way it's more shocking when the disasters are men made and come out of hatred and madness, in some ways that's almost a lot more worrying so, see, it's so hard to cmpare these two things.

Hmm the London bombing ---america knew Katrina was coming, and although the authorities knew the likelihood of an attack, they had no idea of when or where.
